Dear Guests,

Every reservation results in a contract. This accommodation contract is binding for both parties and the following conditions are automatically deemed to have been accepted when the contract is concluded:

1. Late arrival, cancellation or early departure:

There are always reasons that mean you have to change or even cancel your stay at the Le Grand Chalet, whether personal, the weather, a postponed meeting, illness or something else, the following conditions apply:

• no costs will be due up to 15 days before the planned arrival
• 8 to 14 days before the planned arrival we will charge 50% of the booked and agreed price
• 0 to 7 days before the planned arrival we will charge 100% of the booked and agreed price

No charges will be made for nights on which the room can be rented out to someone else.

We will be happy to send you documents for cancellation insurance on request.

2. General duty of care:

As our guest, you undertake to treat the room provided to you and all of the hotel’s furnishings with care. Should an accident happen nonetheless (in other words, should damage occur) that has a lasting negative impact in terms of condition, appearance or rentability, the hotel reserves the right to call you or your insurance to account. The same applies to damage caused by pets.

3. No smoking:

Smoking is not permitted in any room or in the restaurant for legal and fire prevention reasons. In the event of violations, the hotel reserves the right to charge for thorough cleaning on a time and material basis. All rooms are fitted with smoke alarms connected to the fire brigade. Any false alarm triggered by smoking will be charged to the person responsible.

4. Restaurant reservations

Please reserve your table in the restaurant La Bagatelle early and let us know as soon as possible in the event of a cancellation, significant delay or change in the number of people.

In the event of cancellation at short notice (less than two hours before the booked time), non-appearance or a reduction in the number of people for individual reservations, the restaurant reserves the right to charge a no-show fee of up to CHF 100 per person.

5. Cancellation of banquets

In the event of the cancellation of a banquet with a pre-ordered menu for more than 10 people at short notice (less than four working days before the day of the event), the restaurant reserves the right to charge a no-show fee of CHF 100 per person.

For all cases not expressly specified, the hotel Le Grand Chalet refers to the generally applicable terms and conditions of the Swiss Hotelier’s Association. The court of jurisdiction is Saanen.
